Our Scholarship Program
The Basics
The Ogden Foster Scholarship Program partners with Weber State University to provide each student with an individualized financial aid package. The Scholarship is applied to the students account following federal and institutional aid, but before loans.
The scholarship is designed to assist with educational costs like tuition, room and board, textbooks, and other education related costs.
Requirements
To maintain eligibility, the scholarship recipient must comply with the program requirements. These requirements are as follows:
Maintain a 2.3 GPA
Maintain Full-Time Student Status
Attend monthly meetings with the student’s assigned WSU Mentor.
The OFSP understands the pivotal role of a mentor in guiding and supporting our scholars. For young adults transitioning out of foster care, lacking a strong support system poses significant challenges. That's why our scholarship program not only provides financial assistance but also pairs each student with a dependable, supportive mentor.
